We read your bill, recalculate it from your tariff and readings, and show you any line that doesn't add up. It takes three steps and you stay in control at each one.
A clear photo or a PDF works. You can cover your account number first; we don't need it to check the maths.
Step 2: We check it
We use AI to read the figures on your bill, then check them against your tariff and the rules suppliers must follow. If something on the bill is unclear, we tell you rather than guess.
For energy bills we check:
unit rates and standing charges against your tariff
whether readings are actual or estimated, and if estimates look unrealistic
the arithmetic: units used × unit rate, days × standing charge, and VAT (5% on gas; no VAT on household electricity used from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027)
charges for energy used more than 12 months ago (usually not allowed)
Economy 7 day and night splits
For mobile bills we check:
your monthly price against your contract, including any price rise
whether you're out of contract and still paying for a handset
extra charges: roaming, premium-rate numbers, third-party services
Step 3: You get your result
A plain-English summary: what's right, what's wrong and what it's costing you. If something's wrong, you get a complaint letter with your details filled in. Then, and only then, we show up to three cheaper deals.
What we don't do
We're not lawyers and our result isn't legal advice. We don't contact your provider for you.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the check?
We check every figure we can read against your tariff. Where a figure is hard to read, or we don't hold your tariff details, the result says so.
Is a person involved?
[Describe your process, for example: "The check is automated. If you dispute a result, a person reviews it."]
